Jacqueline Kennedy bought this house shortly after living at Averell Harriman's D.C. home after the assassination of her husband, President John F. Kennedy in 1963. She lived here briefly before moving to New York in 1964. Kennedy was married to Greek shipping tycoon Aristotle Onassis from 1968 to 1975 and she passed away in 1994.
