Sara Melillo and Greg Preston bought a two-bedroom, 1.5-bath at 311 Douglas St. N.E. in Washington, D.C. from U.S. Bank National Association for $250,000 on Nov. 13.
U.S. Bank National Association paid $210,080 for the property on April 1. The 1,044-square-foot home was built in 1926 in the Edgewood neighborhood.
Melillo is a program officer for the HIV/AIDS/Africa program at the American Center for International Labor Solidarity.
She most recently was a journalism program officer at McCormick Tribune Foundation. He also held research positions at the Centers for Disease Control and at the Media Management Center.
She received a B.S. in journalism from Northwestern University and an M.P.H. in international
public health from Tulane University.
According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 4,300 home sales in Washington, D.C. during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $370,000.
