Dr. Faheem Sandhu and Henna R. Sandhu sold a six-bedroom, 5.5-bath home at 4931 Macarthur Blvd. N.W. in Washington, D.C. to Maren and Charles Harrison for $1.8 million on Nov. 13.
The Sandhus paid $2.015 million for the property in June 2006. The 5,058-square-foot home was built in 2001 in the Berkley/Foxhall Crescents neighborhood.
Dr. Sandhu is a neurosurgeon and assistant professor of neurosurgery at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
After receiving his M.D. from the University of Rochester School of Medicine, he completed his internship in general surgery and residency in neurosurgery at Georgetown University. He then completed his fellowship at the University of Chicago.
Ms. Harrison is a senior manager at Accenture, a management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company.
She attended Indiana University in Bloomington.
According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 4,300 home sales in Washington, D.C. during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $370,000.
