Rep. Roy D. Blunt and his wife, Abigail, sold a three-bedroom, four-bath home at 1528 31st St. N.W. in Washington, D.C. to Luke A. Bronin and his wife, Sara, for $1.53 million on Nov. 4.
The 2,646-square-foot house was built in 1942 in the Georgetown neighborhood.
Mr. Blunt is a Missouri Congressman and chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives health care solutions group. He also is the second-highest-ranking Republican in the House of Energy and Commerce Committee and a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
He has served as county clerk and chief election official of Greene County, Mo., and was elected as Missouri's first Republican Secretary of State. Prior to joining Congress in 1996, he was president of Southwest Baptist University.
He received his B.A. in 1970 from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo., and his M.A. from Missouri State University.
Mrs. Blunt is senior director of external relations at Kraft Foods and a top lobbyist for Altria Group.
She previously was finance director for the National Republican Congressional Committee, and earlier was corporate development director for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
She attended the University of Maryland College Park.
Mr. Bronin is a senior adviser to the Deputy Secretary of the Treasury in the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
He has been chief of staff to the president and chief operating officer of the Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., and was an international affairs fellow at the Centre for Insurance and Risk Management in Chennai, India. He taught social security and retirement policy at Yale College, and was an officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve.
He received his a B.A. from Yale College, his M.S. from the University of Oxford, and his J.D. from Yale Law School.
Ms. Bronin is an associate law professor and the coordinator of the Gallivan Conferences in real property law. She also is a real estate development consultant, the president-elect of the Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association, and a board member of the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation and the Town Green Special Services District.
She received her B.Arch. and a B.A. in plan II from the University of Texas at Austin, her M.A. in economic and social history from the University of Oxford, and her J.D. from Yale Law School.
