Deborah K. Bowker and William J. Henderson sold their four-bedroom, three-bath home at 4003 Mansion Dr. N.W. in Burleith to Maria Ines Fraile Ordonez for $1.395 million on March 5.

Bowker and Henderson bought the property for $979,000 in July 2003. The 2,480-square-foot house was built in 1996.

Bowker is the U.S. corporate and financial practice chair for Burson-Marsteller GmbH & Co., a leading public relations agency, where she is also the former managing director and market leader in the Northern California area.

Previously, she worked as an assistant postmaster general and vice president of communications and public affairs in the U.S. Postal Service, and the director at the Center of Excellence for Strategic Communications of Pricewaterhouse Coopers, LLP.

She received an M.A. in technology policy from George Washington University and an M.A. in management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Henderson is director of the boards of Acxiom Corporation, a global interactive marketing services company, and ConScore, Inc., a global Internet information provider.

He also previously was chief executive officer of Bestline Research and chief operating officer of Netflix, Inc., for two years.

Before that, he served as the 71st Postmaster General for the U.S. Postal Service.

He also held the positions as chief operating officer, vice president of employee relations, chief marketing officer and senior vice president of USPS.

He graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in industrial relations.

There were 21 home sales in Burleith in 2008, with a median sales price of $899,000.
